Kwara United thrash Solution FC, reach President Federation Cup quarterfinals

Kwara United secured a spot in the President Federation Cup quarterfinals with a commanding 3-0 win over Solution FC in Benin on Wednesday.

Junior Aimufua opened the scoring with a close range finish in the 28th minute, while team captain Kabir Mohammed doubled the lead before halftime.

Ismaila Gatta sealed the win with a well taken goal in the second half, finishing off a precise assist from Aimufua.

The victory serves as a morale boost for Kwara United ahead of their NPFL clash against Heartland FC this Sunday.

Coach Tunde Sanni praised his players’ mentality and response to recent setbacks, urging them to maintain the same energy and focus in their upcoming league match.

Kwara United will now await the quarterfinal draw as their Federation Cup campaign gains momentum.
