Macleans Chinonyerem scores in consecutive games as Liaoning edge Henan Songshan Longmen in China

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward Macleans Chinonyerem was on target for a consecutive Matchday for Chinese Women’s Super League side, Liaoning.

She had scored a goal during her side’s stunning win over holders Wuhan Jiangda on the previous matchday.

This time around, the former Lokomotiv Moscow player proved to be the heroine with the winning goal during a 1-0 win against Henan Songshan Longmen in the Chinese Women’s Super League encounter on Wednesday.

Chinonyerem headed home a cross in the third minute of action to win the match for Liaoning.

The goal was her second in two games since joining Liaoning from Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League outfit, Al Shabab.

Her compatriot, Folashade Ijamilusi, also played for Liaoning, joining the Club from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions, Edo Queens.

Liaoning occupies the first position on the log with six points after two league games, the same as Jiangsu Suning.

They will travel to Shandong SL in their next league match on March 15, 2025.
