The Ikon Allah Boys make it hundred percent record Dakkada haven recorded victory in the reverse fixture in Kaduna with last match of first round.
Both team came into the match after embarking on some business of beefing up the team during the break.
However, it was Tornadoes who looked to have done the right business during the mid season transfer window.
The visitors, who are still eyeing a top three finish in Group B took the lead inside opening sixth minutes when poster boy, David Okoromi latched on to a good pass from Waheed Adebayo.
Emmanuel Jonas doubled the lead for Coach Abubakar Bala led Tornadoes in the 15th minutes with a lovely chip over the keeper when he was fed with a through pass by Aaron James.
The two quick goals looked to have unsettled the hosts who struggled to find their rhythm throughout the remaining minutes of the first half.
Dakkada made some significant changes at the restart, created some moments good enough for a comeback but met a Tornadoes’ defense who looked focused to take home the whole match points.
Though, they were in control of the entire duration of the second half but Dakkada lacked the cutting edge to make their dominance result to goal.
Their consolation arrived in the added time of the match when crowded legs in Tornadoes’ box upended Adewale Lasisi and earned Dakkada a penalty.
Captain Aniekan Ekpe dispatched it perfectly to beat George Michael who had an excellent evening but was denied chance to get a clean sheet.
The defeat has further deepen Dakkada’s worries to move out of relegation status in Group B while Tornadoes will be boosted with the victory as they keep believe for a place in the Super 6.
