By Saheed Afolabi
Gallant Queens coach, Adebiyi Adekunle, has outlined the club’s objectives for the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship as the Army Girls prepare for their final group match in Calabar.
With three wins already secured, Gallant Queens only need a victory in their next game to advance to the next round.
Adekunle expressed satisfaction with his team’s performances and remains confident about their prospects. He emphasized that the team’s immediate focus is on securing qualification to the NWFL Premiership.
“Like I normally say, this is just the beginning. We have nothing to say now until we qualify from the group,” Adekunle told nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.
“Our aim is to qualify from the group and then we will now know the next step to take.”
He added, “The last match will decide our fate. By God’s grace, we will carry the day. We will qualify to the NWFL Premiership. My own is to come out for the match and win.”
Gallant Queens, based in Kaduna, are poised to make a significant impact, and Adekunle’s confidence reflects the team’s strong ambition to ascend to the top tier of Nigerian women’s football.
