Ola Aina dreams of Champions League qualification with Nottingham Forest

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria international Ola Aina is optimistic about Nottingham Forest’s prospects for UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

The Tricky Trees are currently in 4th place after 17 matches, following their 2-0 victory over Brentford, their ninth win of the season.

Aina, who scored his second goal of the season in the win over Brentford, is daring to dream big.

The Nigerian defender expressed his hopes for the season’s end, acknowledging that while the team is focused on taking things game by game, he remains optimistic about the possibility of a Champions League spot.

“It’s really good work what we’re doing. We are just focusing on ourselves and taking it game by game,” Aina said, speaking to journalists after the match, per the BBC.

“But it is good to dream a little bit. As long as we work hard and just keep our heads and not get too carried away, I’m sure things will be fantastic come May.”

Forest’s impressive form has kept them in the hunt for a top-four finish, and with Aina’s confidence and continued contributions, they’ll be hoping to sustain this momentum through the rest of the season.
