Gallant Queens captain, Hafsat Bakare, has praised her team’s impressive performances in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship as they prepare for their final group game against Osun Babes on Friday.

The Kaduna-based side remains unbeaten in their three matches so far, showcasing strong form as they aim to secure their place in the NWFL Premiership.

Bakare expressed her delight at the team’s results and conveyed optimism that their current performance will be sufficient to advance to the next stage.

She commended her teammates and coaching staff for their resilience and dedication throughout the Championship in Calabar.

“They are really great and performing well. We hope to win our next game to make us qualify to the next stage,” Bakare told nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.

“I really thank God for the match and my team is really good with great football. Thanks to the coach, the organizers, and everybody.”

She also noted improvements in officiating and highlighted the lessons learned from their previous matches.

“I see the officiating is better and we learn a little from the teams we have played. We are hoping the next match will be a better match for us,” she added.

Bakare remains confident about her team’s prospects. “Insha Allah, we are going to qualify. I see we are playing great so we are going to qualify,” she concluded.
