NWFL Premiership: Jacob Vandi sets lofty heights for Ekiti Queens

Newly appointed head coach of Ekiti Queens, Jacob Vandi has set ambitious targets for his side ahead of the next Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership 2024/2025 season.

Vandi said his appointment at the club is an avenue to contribute immensely to the growth of the team and oversee its success.

He reveals his aspirations at Ekiti Queens is to improve the competitiveness of the club and inspire players to reach their full potentials.

“I’m honored and thrilled to be appointed to Ekiti Queens. It’s a great opportunity to contribute to the team’s success and growth,” Vandi told Nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.

” I’m excited to work with the players, staff, and management to achieve our goals. My aspiration is to lead Ekiti Queens to become a top-tier team in the NWFL Premiership.

“I aim to build a strong, competitive team that showcases talented players and achieves success on the pitch. I also hope to inspire and empower the players to reach their full potential.”

The gaffer is optimistic of uplifting the club’s status in the NWFL Premiership and ensuring a tactical approach to win matches, appreciating Adamawa Queens for the exciting moments he had with the club while looking forward to an impactful chapter with Ekiti Queens.

“I plan to uplift Ekiti Queens’ status by implementing a strong team culture, improving player development, and enhancing our tactical approach,” he continued.

“I’ll focus on building a cohesive unit, increasing fan engagement, and fostering partnerships to drive the team’s growth. My goal is to make Ekiti Queens a force to be reckoned with in the league.

“I have fond memories of my time at Adamawa Queens. It was a great experience that shaped me into the person I am today.

“I appreciate the opportunities I had there and the relationships I built. However, I’m excited about this new chapter at Ekiti Queens and look forward to making a positive impact.”
