Nigerian forward Johnbosco Samuel Kalu has signed a three-year contract with Israeli Premier League side Beitar Jerusalem, completing his move from Swedish club IFK Värnamo.
The 25-year-old striker joins the Israeli top-flight after a standout stint in Sweden, where he began his professional career in 2016 with Växjö United, scoring 15 goals in 21 appearances.
He went on to play for several Swedish clubs, including Hovshaga AIF, Växjö BoIS, Slätthögs BOIF, Vrigstads IF, and Räppe GoIF.
Kalu’s breakthrough came in 2022 with IFK Värnamo, where his goal-scoring prowess helped the club avoid relegation from the Allsvenskan.
His consistent performances caught the eye of Beitar Jerusalem, who have now secured his services amid interest from other clubs.
Kalu is expected to add depth and firepower to Beitar’s attacking line as they prepare for the 2025/26 campaign.
