Enugu Rangers have secured the signatures of six new players to strengthen their squad in the second round of 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Flying Antelopes ended the first stanza of the ongoing season in seventh position with impressive scoring record.
The six new players are Uchenna Ezeala, a central defender from Go-Round F.C, Zulkifilu Mohammed Rabiu, a support striker from Lobi Stars and Odo Joshua Chidiebere, a center forward who can also operate from both flanks and last featured in the Saudi Arabian league.
Others are Ogbodo Kelechi Emmanuel, a midfielder who joined the 2016 league winners from Disdeft Football Academy, Aniji Ifeanyichukwu Michael, an attacking midfielder from Flying Angels and Nebo Tochukwu Kingsley, a left-winger who joined from Olicon Rovers F.C all in Enugu State.
According to the General Manager of the club, Amobi Ezeaku, the signings are a mixture of youth and experience as he feels they will help Rangers to compete favorably for honors and titles in the latter part of the season.
For the Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers, the new players will “help us confidently challenge for trophies this season”.
“We expect a very tough and challenging second stanza with our eyes set at achieving our set target for the season.”
