NPFL: Niger Tornadoes face Heartland without Usman Bashir and Chidiebere Ernest

By Wale Mustapha

Niger Tornadoes will be without two key players, Usman Bashir and Chidiebere Ernest, for their crucial Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 37 encounter against Heartland.

Both Bashir and Ernest, who were instrumental in the Ikon Allah Boys’ 3-2 victory over Lobi Stars last Wednesday, are sidelined due to injuries sustained in that match. Bashir, the team’s top scorer with 11 goals, and Ernest were unable to recover in time for the trip to Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Despite these setbacks, Coach Mohammed Magin will welcome the return of Sadiq Razaq, who is back after serving a one-match suspension. Razaq’s presence will be a boost as Tornadoes aim to secure a vital win against the already relegated Naze Millionaires.

Magin will rely on the remaining squad members to demonstrate the same level of commitment and performance seen in recent matches to achieve the desired result. The stakes are high, as Niger Tornadoes are still battling to confirm their NPFL status for next season.

The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 4 pm in Owerri. A win is essential for Niger Tornadoes to improve their position and avoid relegation.
