NFF picks Lafia, Abuja as centres for President Federation Cup semifinals

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has designated the Lafia Township Stadium in Nasarawa State and the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja as the venues for the 2024 President Federation Cup men’s semi-finals.

According to a circular issued by Ruth David, the Federation’s Head of Competition, the semi-final matches are scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 2024, at 4 pm.

In a clash of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) teams, Abia Warriors will face Kano Pillars at the Lafia Township Stadium. Meanwhile, the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja will host the game between newly promoted NPFL side Elkanemi Warriors and Kebbi United.

The winners of these semi-final matches will compete in the final for the prestigious President Federation Cup trophy and a coveted spot in the CAF Confederation Cup for the next season.

Insurance FC are the current holders of the trophy, having defeated Enugu Rangers by a single goal in last year’s final.
