MKO Abiola Stadium to Host 2024 President Federation Cup Finals

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has selected the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja as the venue for this year’s President Federation Cup finals, according to Nigeriafootball.ng.
In an official statement signed by the NFF’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, it was announced that the finals for both the men’s and women’s events will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Dr. Sanusi explained that the chosen date is crucial as Nigeria must submit the names of its representative clubs for the next season’s continental competitions to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) by midnight on Sunday, June 30.
“After carefully reviewing our schedules, the current stage of the men’s and women’s competitions, and the requirement to submit our representative clubs to CAF for the upcoming African Club Competitions, the NFF and GTI have agreed that the grand finale of both the men’s and women’s President Federation Cup finals will be held on Saturday, June 29,” Dr. Sanusi stated.
“The venue for this significant event is the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. The women’s final is set to kick off at 1pm, followed by the men’s final at 4pm, continuing a longstanding tradition. The NFF and GTI are dedicated to delivering a spectacular grand finale this year,” added Dr. Sanusi.
The semi-finals of the men’s event are scheduled for Thursday, June 20. Abia Warriors will face Kano Pillars in Lafia, while Elkanemi Warriors will take on Kebbi United at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja.
