Former Nigeria midfielder Sunday Oliseh picks favorite for Euro 2024 title

Former Nigeria Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has tipped France as the favorite to win the 2024 European Championship.
The Les Bleus began their Euro 2024 campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Austria, with N’Golo Kanté delivering an outstanding performance.
Oliseh’s confidence in France’s chances is bolstered by the return of Kanté, whose presence has significantly strengthened the 2018 World Champions.
Kanté had been absent from international duty for two years before being recalled by manager Didier Deschamps for this summer’s tournament.
Currently playing for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League after leaving Chelsea, the 33-year-old midfielder’s influence was immediately felt in his comeback match.
Oliseh expressed his admiration on social media, stating, “The ‘Gigantic Alien of Football’ is back!! What a pleasure to watch one of my favorite defensive midfielders of all time, N’Golo Kanté, back to international football for France yesterday. I now feel France is a real favorite to win the Euros!”
France is set to face the Netherlands on Friday at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, further testing their credentials as tournament favorites.
