NPFL MD 7: Kano Pillars secure first win at Enugu Rangers in seven-goal thriller

It was goals galore as the matchday seven of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season got off on a scintillating fashion on Wednesday.

Holders, Rangers International FC suffered a 4-3 loss to Rabiu Ali’s led Kano Pillars at home.

A brace from Ali coming from the penalty spots while a goal each from Ahmed Musa and Zulkifilu Mohammed propelled the Sai Masu Gida to their first ever win in Enugu.

Goals from Isaac Savior who bagged a brace and Silas Nenrot were not enough to Avery a loss for the Flying Antelopes which dropped to the fifth position while Kano Pillars moved to to fourth position.

In Aba, Enyimba played out a 1-1 draw with Niger Tornadoes as Chinedu Ufere canceled our Godstime Joseph’s opener for the visitors.

Kwara United defeated Sunshine Stars 3-0 thanks to goals from Wasiu Alalade (brace) and Shola Abdulraheem in Ilorin.

A hat-trick from Anas Yusuf ensured a 3-0 success for Nasarawa United against Abia Warriors.

Lobi Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors settled for a 2-2 draw in Daniel Amokachi’s second league match.

A brace from Ossy Martins couldn’t prevent a consecutive draw for the Makurdi based side as Ibrahim Mustapha and Mukhtar Mohammed restored parity for the travelers.

There are five other games to complete Matchday seven of the league season on Thursday.
