Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, also known as Flamingos delivered a commanding performance as they cruised to a 15-0 victory over Future Stars ’99 Soccer Academy in a friendly encounter, showcasing their attacking quality ahead of their next international assignment.
Kindness Ifeanyi set the tone with a first-half hat-trick, finding the net in the 8th, 10th, and 29th minutes. Tosin Rafiu added a brace in the 13th and 19th minutes, while Queen Joseph (21′) and Esther Stephen (26′) also got on the scoresheet before halftime.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi converted a penalty in the 45th minute to give the Flamingos an 8-0 lead at the break.
The second half was equally one-sided, with Oluebube Umejiaku scoring twice in the 60th and 65th minutes. Destiny Itobore added another in the 63rd minute, while Precious Oscar struck a late brace in the 79th and 84th minutes. Tobiloba Sarafa completed the rout with two stoppage-time goals in the 90+7th and 90+10th minutes.
The emphatic win serves as another confidence booster for the Flamingos as they continue preparations for their upcoming fixture against the Benin Republic on July 4.
