UCL: Ademola Lookman fires Atalanta past Stuttgart

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has continued his red hot form following his goal against VFB Stuttgart in their UEFA Champions League group stage encounter at the MPHArena in Germany on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles star broke the deadlock in the 51st minute of the encounter with a lung-bursting run to connect and slot in Charles De Ketelaere’s low cut-back from a few yards out.
He has already netted seven goals and provided five assists in just 13 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta.
Lookman’s goal ensured the reigning Europa League winners picked up their second group stage win.
However, Nicolo Zaniolo then added more gloss to the victory with the second goal on 88 minutes, sealing all three points for the Bergamo-based club. Gianpiero Gasperini’s side who remain unbeaten after four matches and have yet to concede a goal.
With eight points from four matches, Atalanta sits ninth on the log as the group stage reaches halfway.
