CAFCC: Brown Ideye stresses Importance of Enyimba beating Al Masry

By Wale Mustapha

Experienced Nigerian striker, Brown Ideye, has stressed the urgency for Enyimba FC to secure victories in their remaining two group games in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Currently, the Peoples’ Elephants sit at the bottom of Group D with just four points from four matches.

However, Ideye, who scored in Enyimba’s impressive 4-1 victory over Black Bulls of Mozambique last weekend, is determined to help the team turn their fortunes around.

Stanley Eguma’s side will face Egypt’s Al Masry in their next match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday. Ideye resounded the importance of claiming all three points in this fixture.

“It’s important we win our last two games in the CAF Confederation Cup. We need all six points and we will give everything to achieve this,” said Ideye.

The Super Eagles forward’s focus is clear—Enyimba must secure maximum points to stand a chance of advancing in the competition.
