“The best in our league” — Turkish analyst urges Galatasaray to sign Victor Osimhen

By Monsurah Olatunji

Victor Osimhen’s remarkable impact in Turkey has continued to capture the attention of Turkish sports media, with the latest praise coming from football analyst Serhat Ulueren.

Ulueren has declared that Osimhen is the best striker in the Turkish Super Lig, offering a more reliable option than Mauro Icardi, who is recovering from an ACL injury suffered earlier this season.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, has been pivotal in the club’s quest to defend its title, and he’s rapidly closing in on Icardi’s goal tally from last season.

Speaking on the Telegoal program after Osimhen scored and won a penalty to help Galatasaray beat Konyaspor, Ulueren urged the club to secure the Nigerian striker on a permanent deal.

“No matter what anyone says, Osimhen is the best striker in this league,” Ulueren said, per GsGazette.

“His star is shining. No other player could have run and taken that penalty in that position. Not Icardi, not Batshuayi, not anyone else.”

He continued, praising Osimhen’s physical attributes: “The man has long legs; he is very athletic. He has no long-term injuries. If Galatasaray has the money, let them buy him. Otherwise, you can’t go down into the well with this Icardi rope.”
