Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze will miss this weekend’s Premier League fixture against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Chukwueze, who also sat out last weekend’s 1–0 defeat to Arsenal, remains sidelined with a calf injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Silva revealed that Chukwueze is among several players unavailable for selection, with Antonee Robinson and Rodrigo Muniz also ruled out. The Portuguese tactician added that defenders Joachim Andersen and Harry Wilson have joined the club’s growing injury list.
“Some good news, or fresh news. Others are not so good, unfortunately for us,” Silva said. “Kenny had a good week and will be in contention, but Joachim Andersen and Antonee Robinson are both out. Chukwueze still out, Rodrigo out.”
Chukwueze’s continued absence represents a setback for Fulham as they look to end a two-match losing run when they face an in-form Newcastle side on Sunday.
