Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has added another accolade to his growing list of achievements after winning the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Month award for September, courtesy of his stunning scissors kick strike for Trabzonspor.
The Super Eagles forward has been in red-hot form since completing a permanent move from Southampton during the summer transfer window.
Onuachu has scored seven goals and provided one assist in ten matches for the Black Sea Storm, quickly re-establishing himself as a key figure for the Turkish giants.
The 30-year-old’s spectacular acrobatic finish against Fatih Karagümrük in late September drew widespread acclaim and has now been officially recognised as the league’s best goal of the month.
Trabzonspor Vice President Taner Fikret Saral Verdi presented the award to Onuachu before the club’s home clash with Eyüpspor on Saturday night.
Onuachu’s blistering start to the season has also kept him atop the Super Lig scoring charts, ahead of notable names such as Rafa Silva, Felipe Augusto, and Mauro Icardi.
As Trabzonspor mount their title challenge, the towering Nigerian forward will be eager to maintain his prolific form and continue delivering decisive performances for the Black Sea Storm.
