AC Milan are set to sign striker Divock Origi in the summer as they aim to revamp their side.

Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio indicate that the Belgian has made the Serie A giants aware of his contract demands as negotiations between the two parties continue before an agreement can be found.

The Rossoneri have reportedly offered €3 million per year in wages, but Origi is holding out for at least €4.5 million per season, which has stalled contract talks. The report claims that a deal could be reached at around €4 million per year in wages.

The forward has received limited game time over the past few seasons at Liverpool and is likely to miss the World Cup; his contract with the Reds is set to expire in the summer.

The Belgian arrived in England in 2014 from Ligue 1 side Lille, joining Liverpool for around €12 million. However, he failed to break into the Liverpool starting XI and has been used as a second fiddle throughout his stint with the Reds.

His best season in a Liverpool shirt came in 2015/16, his first season with the club when he scored 10 goals across competitions. His most famous outing with the club came against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 semifinals as he scored twice in the second leg to help the Reds win 4-3 on aggregate.

The striker has played just five Premier League matches this season, scoring twice in the process.
