NWFL Premiership: Ann Chiejine reveals secret behind Abia Angels win at Edo Queens

Head coach of Abia Angels, Ann Chiejine has revealed what her side did right in to bagged a 1-0 victory at Edo Queens in Benin on Thursday.

The Umuahia based side shocked group B leaders Edo Queens thanks to a solitary second half strike from Nkechi Agams on Matchday Six of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership at Samuel Ogbumudia Stadium.

While speaking on the game, former Super Falcons goalkeeper said she took her time to study Edo Queens.

“I’m happy just as every coach would be. We worked hard for the win,” Chiejine opened up to the media.

” I took my time to study the team very well and I discovered that they are good in defence and midfield. So, we capitalized on the remaining part and the instructions given to my players were what they carried out.

“The officiating was okay, not too bad. The most important thing is that we won.”
