NWFL Premiership: Ibom Angels to fortify squad ahead second stanza

Chairman of Ibom Angels, Moses Nana has vowed to bring in new players to beef up the squad ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership 2022/2023 season.

Ibom Angels are languishing at the bottom of the group B of the NWFL Premiership abridged format as they have recorded three points from 6 matches.

In a club statement on Friday, Nana revealed that 5 players have been contacted to join the club ahead of the second stanza of matches in the NWFL Premiership, while apologizing for the club’s run of poor result.

“We have contacted over five players to join the team to fortify it ahead of the second round of the league,” Nana said.

“We are sincerely sorry for the team’s bad performance as some of the players couldn’t live up to expectations.

“So some new players are already on their way to join the camp of the team. We hope to see a new improved side in the second round.”

The NWFL Premiership 2022/2023 second stanza is scheduled to resume on the 8th of February 2022 and Ibom Angels will face Nasarawa Amazons in a crunchy tie at the Apa Aku stadium, Makurdi, Benue state.
