Kwara United edge ABS FC to claim Kwara State FA Cup title

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Kwara United has been crowned Champions of the 2023 Kwara State FA Cup.
The Harmony Boys recorded a 4-2 victory on penalties over second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS FC), after the final ended 0-0 draw in regulation time.
The Harmony Boys and ABS FC will represent Kwara State at the national finals.
They joined the likes of Maikunkele United, Niger Tornadoes Feeders team, Heartland FC, Fr. Eburuaja FC, Shooting Stars, Ilaji FC, Bendel Insurance, Insurance FC Feeders, Lobi Stars, Red Flames FC, Beyond Limits Academy, and Gateway United in the Federation Cup for men.
Heartland Queens, First Mahi Babes, Lakeside Queens, Edo Queens, Fortress Ladies, Greenfoot Football Academy, and Immaculate Football Academy have qualified for the women’s national finals.
Kwara Ladies and Moje Queens also joined the list of women’s teams that will jostle for the Federation Cup title.
More Champions and teams that will qualify for the 2023 Federation Cup will emerge from other states in the coming days.
