Chelsea will try to sign one of the most in-form elite strikers, including Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen in Europe this summer, according to a former teammate of current Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, Ian Wright.
Osimhen has been in outstanding form for the Italian side this season, and he has become the most sought-after striker around the world.
The Nigeria international has scored 28 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions this season helping Napoli win their first league title in 33 years.
The Arsenal legend who played alongside Lampard at West Ham, believes Chelsea will try and sign Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen this summer.
Napoli values Osimhen at more than £100m, and Wright says he ‘would not be surprised’ if Chelsea brought him to Stamford Bridge.
“We’ve got to give him flowers man, we’ve got to,” Wright said on his Ringer FC podcast.
“I wonder where he’s going to end up? It wouldn’t surprise me if it was Chelsea. Chelsea are going to try and get him I think.”
