Heartland seal Nigeria National League Super Eight spot

Heartland FC have sealed a place in the NNL Super Eight after seeing off Ibom Youths 2-1 at the Ikot Ekpene Stadium on Monday.
The Owerri based club took the lead in the encounter through gangly forward Patrick Nwogbaga in the sixth minute following a rebound from his own header.
Heartland captain, Izuchukwu Abugo connected well to a fabulous freekick taken by Fabian Omaka to double the Naze Millionaires lead.
The Naze Millionaires were in control of the game as they dominated proceedings and created numerous chances in the encounter.
Ibom Youths pulled a goal back in the encounter but it wasn’t enough to salvage a point in the encounter as they lost 2-1 to Heartland FC.
The Naze Millionaires who are basking on their euphoria in the NNL to seal a ticket to the NPFL are unbeaten from nine matches and have accumulated 21 points and tops Group B4 of Nigeria second tier football league.
Heartland FC have secured six victories and three draws in nine games with ten goals.
