Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Hilal has announced the departure of Nigeria forward Odion Jude Ighalo.
The Nigerian international joined Al Hilal from the rival club Al Shabbab after leaving Manchester United during the winter transfer window in 2022.
The 33-year-old Super Eagles forward ended as the season’s top scorer with 24 goals as he created unforgettable memories at the club winning trophies and personal accolades.
The 2019 AFCON top goalscorer helped the Blue Waves achieve the Premier League Championship and played a key role in their King’s Cup and Super Lucille victories.
The former Watford star also emerged as the Asian Champions League’s leading goal-scorer and led the team to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Al Hilal late Thursday night confirmed on their social media pages that Ighalo whose contract expires by the end of this month will become a free agent once again.
“Thanks @ighalojude. Wishing you good luck and success #AlHilal”, the club wrote on its twitter account.
