Women’s World Cup Round of 16: Sarina Wiegman uncovers Nigeria’s weaknesses
By: Monsurah Olatunji

England head coach Sarina Wiegman is confident her team will find a way to defeat Nigeria.
The European champions will face off against the  Super Falcons in the Round of 16 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup for a place in the quarter-finals at the Lang Park, Brisbane on Monday.
While Nigeria finished undefeated in their group for the first time in history with one win and two draws, the Lionesses finished with a perfect winning all their group games and conceded just once in three matches.
The nine-time African champions were the lowest-ranked in a difficult group that has co-hosts Australia, Olympic champions Canada and Republic of Ireland.
Currently ranked number four in the world, England are the favorite to win the encounter and Sarina has hinted that it is important to study the Nigerians and map out a way of stopping them.
“We are going to study how the Nigerian team plays, take out the strengths and exploit their weaknesses,” the 53-year-old said.
