NPFL: Sporting Lagos secures signing of South Sudan midfielder

Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League side, Sporting Lagos have secured the services of South Sudan midfielder, Joseph Loro ahead of new season.

The 19-year-old Loro who agreed terms for a season deal with the Lagos based club and is expected to finalize the final details of the contract upon his arrival to Nigeria on Tuesday.

South Sudan U-20 captain turned down a move to Belgian Pro League outfit, Standard Liege to join Sporting Lagos.

The talented midfielder featured for his country at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON U20 tourney in March.

Established in 2022, Sporting Lagos gained promotion to the NPFL at the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs in Asaba last month.
