Nigeria striker Ademola Lookman scored the opening goal for Atalanta as they earned a hard-fought 2-0 win over Cagliari in an Italian Serie A encounter on Sunday.

Milan loanee Charles De Ketelaere thought he had netted his third goal for Atalanta when he struck home in the 23rd minute but the flag immediately went up for offside.
Ten minutes later, he turned the provided as he found Ademola Lookman who tapped the ball into an empty net to put Atalanta in front.
Atalanta looked satisfied with the lead when the Nigerian goalscorer was replaced by Mario Pasalic in the 67th minute.

The Super Eagles star has now scored in back-to-back league games and will be hoping to surpass his last season’s tally of 13 goals in 31 matches.
Gasperini’s side move up to sixth place ahead of Wednesday’s clash away at Hellas Verona.
