Tammy Abraham Aims to Score 20+ Goals in EPL with Swansea

Nigerian-born Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham, is setting his sights on a prolific 2017/18 Premier League season, with a goal tally of more than 20 as his target. The 19-year-old forward, who has been a subject of interest from the Nigeria Football Federation to represent the national team, has embarked on a loan spell with Swansea City this summer in preparation for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

In a recent interview with the BBC, Abraham expressed his excitement, saying, “I can’t wait, I’m so excited right now. I came here to score goals and help the team as much as I can. It’s good to score goals; it lifts your confidence going into the season, and I’m looking forward to it.”

The young striker, determined to prove his worth to Swansea’s manager Paul Clement, aims to outperform his goal tally from the previous season. “I just want to do the best I can and hopefully to beat last year’s goal tally; by all means, that’s what I’ll go for.”

Abraham, who had an impressive record of 23 goals in 41 appearances for Bristol City in the second-tier Championship last season, is a player highly sought after by Nigeria’s head coach, Gernot Rohr. The Super Eagles are hoping to include the talented young striker in their roster for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Although Abraham had previously represented England in the European U-21 Championship in July, he remains eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents, offering the country a promising asset for its football future. With his exceptional scoring ability and attributes such as good feet and pace, Abraham aims to make a significant impact in the Premier League while wearing Swansea’s colors.
