Moses Optimistic about Chelsea’s Top-Four and UCL Aspirations

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses is optimistic about the club’s chances of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League and clinching a UEFA Champions League spot following their 2-1 victory against Burnley on Thursday at Turf Moor. Moses, who was named the man of the match for his standout performance, contributed significantly to the win by scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute and creating an own goal for Burnley’s Kevin Long with his cross.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Moses emphasized the team’s determination and the need to approach each game with a winning mentality. He stated, “We cannot write ourselves off. We need to take every game as it comes and need to finish the season as strong as possible. We believe in the players we’ve got collectively and individually. The most important thing today (Thursday) is the three points, and we’ll take the momentum into the game on Sunday.”
Chelsea is currently in fifth place in the Premier League table with 63 points from 34 matches, trailing fourth-placed Tottenham by five points. Moses, who has featured in 25 Premier League games for Chelsea this season and scored three goals, expressed his satisfaction with the crucial win on Twitter: “Big win last night from the boys! Good to keep the momentum going,🏿 nice to get on the score sheet.”
As Chelsea looks to finish the season on a high note, Moses’ contributions and positive outlook provide hope for the team’s aspirations of securing a top-four finish and a coveted UEFA Champions League spot.
