Mikel Stars as Tianjin Teda Win at Ighalo’s Changchun Yatai

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi played the full 90 minutes for Tianjin Teda in their 1-0 away victory against Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday. The match featured both Mikel and Odion Ighalo, who also played the entire game for Changchun Yatai.

Tianjin Teda secured the win with a goal from Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong in the 81st minute. This victory marked Tianjin Teda’s first consecutive league win this season and their first away win in the current CSL campaign.

After the win, Tianjin Teda moved from ninth to seventh position in the CSL table with 15 points from 10 games, while Changchun Yatai dropped to 13th place with 11 points from the same number of matches.
