By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigerian forward Blessing Amarachi Dike produced a historic, record-breaking performance in the Cambodian Women’s League Championship on Saturday, scoring all 17 goals in Visakha Women’s emphatic 17–0 victory over Kandal Province Sports Association.

The Abia-born striker was unstoppable at the Visakha Training Centre, dismantling Kandal’s defence from the opening minutes until the final whistle.

Her extraordinary haul lifted her season tally to 38 goals in just 14 matches, further cementing her status as the league’s most prolific attacker.

Dike opened the scoring in the 8th minute and struck again in the 12th, 19th, and 24th minutes as Visakha raced to a 4–0 lead. By halftime, she had already netted eight goals.

The second half proved even more ruthless. The Nigerian standout added nine more goals between the 56th and 91st minutes, completing one of the most dominant individual displays ever seen in Cambodian women’s football.

Her remarkable tally included multiple hat-tricks across both halves, two hat-tricks and a brace before the interval, followed by three additional hat-tricks in the second period, underscoring the magnitude of her achievement.

Dike has been in devastating form all season, having earlier scored 12 goals in a 16–0 win. Despite her latest record-smashing performance, she remained grounded, writing: “Three points, grateful heart. Unto the next one.”

With this unforgettable outing, Dike has etched her name into league history and strengthened her reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s most unstoppable forwards.
