Franck Mawuena: Togolese midfielder extends contract with Remo Stars

Franck Mawuena Kwame has signed a contract extension at the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Remo Stars ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

The deal will see the Togolese remain with the Sky Blue Stars for the 2024/2025 season.

He had his best performance last season with the Ikenne-based side as he scored five league goals in 13 games.

His performance earned him the Best Foreign Player prize at the League Blogger Awards.

The former Genclerbirligi player joined the team ahead of the 2022/2023 season.

He was able to score a goal in four league matches for Daniel Ogunmodede’s side during his debut season.

The 2024/2025 campaign will be his third with the team as they prepare to face AS FAR FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.The 31-year-old player will have a huge role to play in the team’s third consecutive continental campaign.

Meanwhile, Abayomi Adebayo’s awesome free kick against Akwa United in Ikenne has been voted as the Club goal of the 2023/2024 season.

The goal received the highest number of votes by fans on social media.
