Remo Stars Crash Out of Ogun FA Cup After Shock Defeat to Academy Side

Remo Stars suffered a surprising exit from the Ogun State FA Cup following a 4–2 defeat on penalties to their academy team, Beyond Limit FA.

The encounter remained tightly contested for much of the game, with Beyond Limit FA breaking the deadlock in the 54th minute to take control.

Despite being the more experienced side, Remo Stars struggled to respond until late in the match.

Their breakthrough eventually came in the 84th minute when Adama Goita found the equalizer, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.

However, Beyond Limit FA held their nerve from the spot, converting crucial kicks to seal an upset victory over their parent club.

The result carries significant implications for Remo Stars, as the defeat means they will miss out on continental football for the first time since 2023.

With their FA Cup hopes dashed, attention now shifts fully to their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League, where the team will be focused on securing survival and stabilizing their season.
