Italian Sports lawyer rates Lukaku over Osimhen in Conte’s Napoli plan

Renowned Italian sports lawyer Marco Giuliani believes Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku would be a more suitable striker for Antonio Conte at Napoli than Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has once again been compared to the Chelsea striker, who is being touted as a better replacement if the Super Eagles forward leaves Napoli this summer.

Giuliani was reacting to Napoli’s striker situation in the wake of Osimhen’s potential departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium this summer. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Giuliani highlighted the attributes that make Lukaku a standout player under Conte’s management.

“All in all, Lukaku is more suited to Conte’s game than Osimhen. He has more technique and the ability to move the team up. If the Belgian is at the top, for me, he is better than the Nigerian (Osimhen),” he said.

Both strikers have been relevant for their respective clubs in recent seasons, making the comparison a regular occurrence.

Osimhen has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, and his performances have led to him being touted as one of the best center-forwards in the world.

The Nigerian international scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 games, making him one of the best goal scorers around.

For Lukaku, the Belgian enjoyed a prolific spell under Conte at Inter Milan, playing a crucial role in the club’s Serie A triumph. In the 2023-2024 season, Lukaku netted 21 goals and provided 4 assists in 47 appearances for AS Roma, proving he still has much to offer.
