Ladan Bosso shares positive outlook amid Nigeria’s U20 World Cup quarterfinal exit

Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20 men’s national team, Ladan Bosso has affirmed that his boys will be leaving the FIFA U20 World Cup with much of lessons, positives than disappointment.
Bosso’s team crashed out of the tournament on Sunday following their 1-0 quarterfinal loss to South Korea.
The Nigerian side had braved all odds to reach the last 16 of the competition but eventually capitulated to an extra time heartbreaking striker from the Koreans, ending the West African nation fairytale journey.
And the tactician is still struggling to come to terms with his second U20 World Cup quarterfinal elimination after 2007, while insisting that the current set of Flying Eagles will give more talents to build on in the future.
“We tried our best but it wasn’t good enough, our finishing wasn’t good but that won’t take away our performance in the tournament because the boys have done well.
“But you can also see that we’ve left a group of players for the federation to build on, I believe many of these boys will become nucleus of national teams anytime soon.”
