Rising Nigerian midfielder Papa Daniel is set to complete a transfer to Swiss Super League champions BSC Young Boys ahead of next season, Africa Foot reports.
The 23-year-old, who has been a standout performer for Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season, has attracted interest following a string of consistent performances.
Daniel has contributed three goals and three assists in 21 league appearances for the Ikon Allah Boys, helping the club navigate a competitive campaign.
His form did not go unnoticed by national selectors, earning him a call-up to the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
The move to Bern will mark Daniel’s second stint in Europe. He previously played for Turkish side Adanaspor but left the club after just four months due to unpaid wages.
Negotiations between Daniel’s representatives and Young Boys are said to be at an advanced stage, with the transfer expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
