English Championship outfit Leeds United is reportedly preparing a substantial bid of seven million pounds for the talented Nigerian defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Osayi-Samuel has been attracting attention from prominent clubs in England ever since his departure from Queens Park Rangers to Fenerbahce in 2021.

Sources close to the situation in London suggest that Leeds United is now leading the race to secure the services of the Super Eagles’ right-back. The club is eager to present an enticing offer to lure him away from the Turkish Super Lig.

Sitting in the second position on the Championship table, Leeds United is poised for a promotion to the Premier League by the end of the season. However, they face tough competition from Crystal Palace and Fulham, both of whom are also keen on signing the Nigerian international.

The 26-year-old has been a standout performer for Fenerbahce this season, playing a pivotal role in their pursuit of the league title.

Additionally, Osayi-Samuel played a crucial role in the Super Eagles’ journey to a second-place finish in the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament held in Ivory Coast.
