Nigeria-eligible forward Edna Imade played a pivotal role in Granada’s impressive 3-0 victory against Sevilla in a Spanish Liga F encounter on Sunday, scoring two goals to secure the win.
The match opened with Alexia netting the first goal in the 24th minute, skillfully lifting the ball over the Sevilla goalkeeper after receiving a well-placed cross from Laura Perez.
Imade then doubled Granada’s lead just before halftime, striking a right-footed shot into the back of the net from Perez’s second assist in the 41st minute. She completed her brace shortly after the break, heading in a cross from Alba Perez in the 49th minute.
The former Cacereno forward was substituted for Biljana Bradic in the 83rd minute, having made a significant impact on the game.
At 24 years old, Imade has now scored five goals in eight league appearances, contributing to Granada’s ninth-place standing in the Spanish Liga F with nine points after eight matches.
Looking ahead, Granada will face Albacete in the Copa de la Reina on November 7, 2024, as they aim to build on their recent success.
