He has been visited by various dignitaries including the Sports Minister and the U-17 women’s national team and Obi during the visit said he alongside his late brother did the nation proud with their service on Thursday.

“They made us happy with their talents and in times like this, they deserve our sympathy and attention,” Obi said.

“I came to commiserate with him for the wound, for the lost ones, for the trauma, and to show him that he is not forgotten.”

He promised to support him, especially on the path of his wife who needed to be flown outside the country for surgery as a result of the accident.

Tijani who is the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria while responding appreciated Obi’s visit stating that huge love and support from Nigerians have made him stronger.

He intimated his guest that his former teammates at Ajax Amsterdam, Holland have been helping him.

The Olympic gold medalist also narrated how he lost his brother and son to the accident.
