Super Falcons to Face Senegal in Two International Friendlies Ahead of WAFCON 2026

Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, are set to take on the Senegal Women’s National Team in a two-match international friendly series scheduled for June 5 and June 8.

The friendlies form part of both teams’ preparations for upcoming international tournaments, particularly the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The matches are expected to offer valuable competitive experience as the Super Falcons continue to sharpen their squad, tactics, and overall team chemistry ahead of the continental competition.

Nigeria, Africa’s most successful women’s football nation, will look to maintain its dominance on the continent, while Senegal aims to build momentum and strengthen its growing reputation in women’s football.

The double-header is also expected to provide coaches of both sides the opportunity to assess players and test different strategies before the 2026 WAFCON qualifiers and tournament preparations intensify.
