Transfer expert anticipates Kelechi Iheanacho’s departure from Leicester City

By Saheed Afolabi
Dean Jones, a renowned transfer specialist, has cast his prediction on the future of Kelechi Iheanacho at Leicester City, suggesting an imminent exit for the Nigerian star.
Despite Iheanacho’s return from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire, he has struggled to secure a regular starting position in the squad.
Jones foresees Iheanacho’s departure from the Foxes, indicating that a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor appears to be the most probable scenario, despite interest from other clubs.
Jones highlighted concerns over Iheanacho’s significant wages and limited playing time, suggesting that it might not be financially prudent for Leicester City to retain him, especially as they aim for promotion to the Championship.
“It looks like he (Iheanacho) will leave Leicester, and at the moment, the most likely path for him to take is to Turkey,” Jones remarked, as quoted by Give Me Sport.
“Trabzonspor are one of the teams for him, and these sorts of options might have to become very real, even though it seems to be early in his career.”
With only six goals in 25 appearances for the Foxes this season, Iheanacho’s future at Leicester City appears uncertain, as speculation mounts over his potential move away from the club.
