Victor Boniface rearing to return to action with Bayer Leverkusen

Fit-again Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface is eager to return to full football activities for his Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen.
The Super Eagles’ forward returned to training on Monday after completing his recovery process following a thigh injury he sustained in January.
He was initially scheduled to be sidelined till around April but has now made a quick recovery from the injury.
The 23 year old forward could feature in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga clash with Hoffenheim this weekend noting that he’s desperate to play for his club again.
“The team did very well without me. When I came to Leverkusen, I said that I don’t look at rankings or individual scores,” Boniface told Sport Bild.
“Of course goals and assists are important, but the most important thing for me is to be able to help the team with my style of play and simply have fun. I really miss being on the pitch with my teammates and hope to be back soon.”
The bulky striker has notched in 16 goals and eight assists in 23 appearances for Leverkusen since he joined from Royal Union Saint Gilloise in the summer.
