2023 NBSL MD6 Wrap: Ibom shock Kada Stars as Nmanko Patigi beat Kebbi United

Debutant, Ibom BSC stunned holders, Kada BSC in penalties to secure its first point of the season on the final Matchday of the 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Phase at Murtala Muhammed Square on Monday.
Dozie Frank scored two goals with Clement Egunjimi’s lone goal for Kada Stars but Abdulazeez Fatai also scored two goals for Ibom BSC coupled with Effiong Eyo’s lone goal ensured Ibom forced Kada to a 3-3 draw after extra time.
During penalty shootouts, Ibom BSC converted all six spot kicks while Kada BSC missed one of its six penalties by Momoh Sani allowing Fatai to score the winning spot-kick.
Meanwhile, Nmanko Patigi BSC pipped Kebbi United BSC 3-2 to end the Phase on a bright note at the same venue.
Kunle Jamiu’s brace and Azeez Lawal’s goal lifted the Kwara State base side to another win, its second in Phase 2 of the league.
Hassan Abdullahi and Umar Sadiq scored for Kebbi United BSC which succumbed to consecutive loss after four games unbeaten run ended against Kebbi BSC on Sunday.
Kebbi BSC had earlier walked over Smart City BSC 3-0.
Up next for the NBSL is Phase 3 where the Champions of the third season will be crowned.
