Nigeria National U-17 women’s national team will get to know their opponents at the maiden West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-17 Girls Cup on Friday.

The draw for the first edition of the West African Football Union – B (WAFU B) U-17 Girls Cup is scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire at 9:00 GMT on Friday, November 29, 2024.

Africa’s best performers at the World Cup, Nigeria, Ghana, and five other countries, will be pitched against each other in two Groups, A and B, for what promises to be an exciting tournament.

Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, Niger Republic, and Togo are the other participating teams.

The tournament is slated for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Technical Center Prampram from December 12th through December 26th, 2024.

The Flamingos and Black Galaxies have won bronze medals at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, the continent’s best finish at the tournament.

Both sides hope to exhibit their talents at the first-ever WAFU-B Cup.
