Cyril Dessers attributes new found form to Rangers boss Philip Clement

Nigeria forward, Cyril Dessers has heaped praises on Glasgow Rangers coach, Philip Clement for helping him find his present form in front of goal.

The Super Eagles striker scored the Scottish giant opener in the 28th minute in the 2-1 win against St. Johnstone at the Ibrox stadium.

The forward pinned his recent positive performance on the arrival of the new gaffer which have provided energy to the team to keep going.

“Definitely but I think the turnaround came already with the new gaffer arriving, my performances are getting better with every game and this gives us more energy to keep going,” Dessers was quoted by BSN Sports.

“We have dropped points but we are focused on ourselves, not things we can’t control and we just want to keep working. Whenever the gaffer wants me, I have to be ready and provide what I can give to the team.”

Rangers haven’t experienced a loss in 14 game’s across all competitions since the appointment of Clement.

Dessers has scored five goals in 13 matches this season for the Gers as they won the Scottish League Cup on Sunday, December 17 by defeating Aberdeen by a lone goal.

The Light Blues are security on the Scottish Premiership with 40 points from 17 matches and will lock horns with Motherwell on Sunday, December 24.
