Osimhen Returns as Galatasaray Crash Out of Turkish Cup

Victor Osimhen made a late cameo appearance for Galatasaray in their 2–0 defeat to Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Cup, as the Istanbul giants bowed out of the competition.

The Nigerian striker was introduced in the 78th minute in a bid to inspire a comeback, but he was unable to change the course of the game as Galatasaray struggled to break down a resolute Gençlerbirliği side.

Osimhen’s brief outing also saw him enter the referee’s book late on after protesting a decision he felt should have been given as a foul.

Despite the disappointing cup exit, the return of the Super Eagles forward offers a timely boost for Galatasaray as they continue their push for the league title.
