Nigeria defender, Onyinyechi Zogg has joined the Swiss side, Servette FCFF.

The Super Falcons rejoined the team from Switzerland till the end of the 2024 season as the Bern-born player returned to her birth country.

The 26-year-old had previously played for Young Boys, FC Zurich, Soyaux, and recently featured for German side Turbine Postdam before switching to Servette.

“It’s a real pleasure to be able to count on the arrival of Onyinyechi,” Sandy Maendly, Servette FCFF Sports Director said on the club website.

“We have been able to get to know her in recent weeks and her qualities as well as her determination have convinced us. Her experience and leadership will bring an undeniable plus to our defensive sector.”

Zogg was born and raised in Bern, Switzerland, while her father is Swiss while her mother is from Nigeria.

Instead of playing for her father’s country, Zogg decided to feature for her mother’s nation, Nigeria.

She made her senior debut for the Super Falcons on June 10, 2021, during a 1-0 loss to Jamaica in a friendly match.
